Jolter Press is made in Mitcheldean in Gloucestershire Circus Pear is one of half a dozen aliases of the better known BLAKENEY RED Pear. It’s said to have been a reference to the Pear’s diuretic qualities I.E. “ONCE ROUND AND STRAIGHT OUT AGAIN”
This is a 2017 vintage picked exclusively high on the slopes of the village of Longhope in the Forest of Dean.
It’s almost bone-dry, and whilst also pretty tannic, retains some of the lighter, more floral notes of the daintier Perries.
